These essays are personal expressions of my own. I've employed a short overview
since each subject matter is a book unto themselves. Enjoy, and may they make a difference for you.

The Balance of Giving and Receiving For the majority of us, we are either givers or receivers. There are those of us that are balanced in
this arena and I applaud them since life sails smoother when we are in balance. For the rest of us, we are usually
always giving, even when we don't want to (conditional training), or we are always taking wondering how to next satisfy
this insatiable hunger to receive more and more and more. Givers are always looking to please and feel they don't
deserve to receive, and takers feel they deserve the world and then some, regardless of another's feelings. Givers
usually admit they give too much, and with many justifications to go with it; whereas receivers don't even know what you
are talking about. So, how do we achieve a better balance of giving and receiving? Due to space constraints I
can only mention a few, but the first and foremost is we must see it in ourselves, we must admit to ourselves, yes I do give
too much, or man all I ever do is take, but.... No buts allowed, just recognizing it within yourself creates change.
There are numerous techniques to better balance this delicate cycle of give and take, and always remember, we are not striving
for perfection, we are striving to better ourselves. We truly cannot receive without giving, and we cannot give without
receiving. The more we receive, the more we want to give, and that way of living creates waves of abundance for
ourselves and others.

Judgment
When you say something is hard to do, then it will be hard to do, the law of attraction
in action. But this one, folks, is a toughie and a constant one to practice. There are those blessed individuals
out there who never judge, gossip, ridicule, or insult another human. They never get angry at the slow driver in front
of them, or the check-out girl who moves through life like a snail. We judge politicians, entertainers, and other
newsworthy people like we know them personally. We deem criminals guilty before their trials begin. I don't even
want to mention the religious wars, that one religion is better than another. We belittle our neighbors because they
don't mow the lawn right, that the Jones' have to have all the latest and greatest of everything, and "God, did
you see what Judy was wearing today?" I think you see my point. So married John is running around with three
other wormen, and he's the talk of the town the brute, but you won't let your husband be intimate with you. And you
are judging John? Why do any of us get off ridiculing, insulting, expressing opinion, laughing, and gossiping about
any of our fellow human beings. We have our own baggage, our own flaws, and weaknesses to contend with. Maybe
that's why we judge others, we don't have to look at our own shortcomings. Putting down the next guy makes us feel superior
and better than he, but in reality, you are no better than he, just different is all and there's nothing wrong with that.

Gratitude
When was the last time you sat in your house, your apartment, wherever you call home,
and felt thankful for what you have. No matter how little, no matter how much, just grateful for what you have now -
person, place, or thing. Don't think about what you don't have, think about what you do have. You will come to
realize it's more than you ever thought of, I mean really think about it. How thankful are we that we have health in
our lives, whether it be super healthy or plagued with problems, can we find it in our hearts to say thank you. Can
we say thank you to the prettiest pictures we have ever seen outside in nature, the sunsets, the sunrises, the stars, moon,
sky and sun. The waters, the mountains, the rainbows, the animals, the flowers and fauna. And it is all free for
us to look at and enjoy, all free, do we say thank you?

Believe
Doubt and you will pout, believe and you'll succeed. Believe in what you want, believe
in yourself, believe there are unseen worlds corresponding to ours. How do we believe in anything, ourselves, the world,
the environment, angels, when we are fraught with negativity and skepticism. Again the law of attraction, what you believe
is what you'll receive. Most of us are conditioned to believe negative outcomes; whereas positive outcomes are just
as much a reality as the negative ones. This is where choice really matters. Notice how we justify to death why
our lives are in such a mess, it's because of this and that and the other thing. Well what if you started turning off
that radio station and started listening to another station that says you can have what you want. It might take some
time, some prodding, some work, but again this is where choice really matters.
